The Sea of Mermaids is the great ocean that divides the continent of Elencia. It is fabled for being dangerous to cross during certain seasons because of the Mermaids that lure sailors to their doom. Justin and Feena, thanks to the speed of the Sea Dragon, crossed the huge ocean in just two days. Sailors from the lost world- especially from Dight and Gumbo- do not cross the sea, and only those who dwelt in eastern Elencia knew the safest passage to their continent.
One notable location in the Sea is Pirate Island, disappearing island where the mermaids lure their victims to.
